Re: Benefits of a private ADHD diagnosisPosted By Giga12  (20th Feb 25 at 10:34pm)

Honestly, I didn't even realize that adults could diagnose themselves with ADHD. It always seemed like something that only manifests itself in childhood. But if realistically you can get help and understand yourself better, why not? I think it could change many people's lives for the better. I wonder how much treatment or therapy can affect daily habits.

I had a private assessment a few months ago and this is really the best option if you don't want to wait years. I booked an appointment here - private adhd assessment сambridge, and was in within a week. The main plus is the speed, but not only that. The doctor really listens, asks questions about childhood, work, habits. After the tests I was given not just a diagnosis but clear advice on how to manage my symptoms. The NHS is of course free, but if you want to sort yourself out quicker - a private option is definitely better.
Benefits of a private ADHD diagnosisPosted By Vevar33  (20th Feb 25 at 9:29pm)

Hi everyone, I'm thinking of getting diagnosed for ADHD, but I'm not sure where to go yet. I'm 30 years old and have had trouble concentrating since I was a kid, but back then no one talked about ADHD in adults. Recently a colleague told me he had been diagnosed with it and many things in his life finally made sense. I started looking, but the NHS has huge waiting lists and private clinics offer different options. What are the main pros of a private diagnosis? Maybe someone has been through and can share their experience?
